Advertisement for: Dexter McCarty Middle School Renovations Bid Package #1 – Interior Renovations & Roof Replacement
Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, serving as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) on the Dexter McCarty Middle School Renovation Project for Gresham-Barlow School District (GBSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified Selective Demolition & Abatement, Earthwork / Utilities / Asphalt Paving, Site Concrete, Rough Carpentry, Finish Carpentry, Metal Framing, Insulation, GWB, ACT, FRP Panels, Wall Coverings, Weather Barriers, Fiber Cement Siding, Roofing, Flashings & Sheet Metal, Roof Accessories, Roof Vents, Skylights, Expansion Control Joint, Sealants, Doors/Frames/Hardware, Polished Concrete, Carpeting, Painting, Corner Guards, Fire Ext. & Cabinets, Window Treatments, Markerboards & Tack boards, Site Furnishings, Chain link Fences, Subcontractors for the construction of the Dexter McCarty Middle School Renovations Project in Gresham, Oregon. Terms and conditions of the proposal are outlined in Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC (CM/GC) “Invitation to Bid”, dated January 27, 2020, attached to and made a part of the Contract Documents.
Proposals will be received at the offices of Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, (CM/GC), 550 SW 12th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97205, until 2:00 P.M. PST, February 26, 2020 at which time the proposals will be opened at 3:00 P.M. same day with a GBSD representative present. Facsimile and e-mailed bids will be permitted (written confirmation with original bid shall be submitted no later than 3 working days from date of bid opening). Proposals shall be clearly marked “Dexter McCarty Middle School Renovations Bid Package #1 – Bid Package #1.0X:_______________”.
The total building renovation costs is projected to be approximately $3 Million.
The scope of work bidding at this time in BID PACKAGE #1 includes renovations to the existing one story 100,000 SF academic building that includes: Abatement and Selective Demolition of floors, walls and ceilings. Clean and seal tile at restrooms. Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math (STREAM) integration with remodel of existing classrooms to provide new STREAM course option classroom, small group rooms and lab. New polished flooring and rubber base. New Acoustical Ceiling Grid and Tile at demolished locations. Replace fire sprinkler heads at ceiling assembly as required. Replacing portions of the existing built up roof system with new built up roofing system including roof coping and associated flashings. Remove and replace existing roof top storefront with new. Remove and replace all existing skylights. Remove & replace existing EIFS siding with new Metal Siding system including weather barrier and associated flashings.
Lewis is currently only soliciting bids on Bid Package #1 for entire project, as scopes described above. Bid Package #2 for Electrical, Lighting, Security, Data and Access Control will be issued at later date.
The Project Site is located at, 1400 SE 5th Street, Gresham, OR 97080.
Two pre-bid walks will be held at the project site on February 5, 2020 @ 7:30 AM and February 17th, 2020 @ 9:00 AM. Proposers shall enter parking lot off 5th Ave and meet at Main Entrance for check-in. The pre-bid walk will be non-mandatory, but highly encouraged.

All proposers must comply with the following requirements: Licensed with Construction Contractors Board ORS 671.530, Resident Status ORS 279A.120. Proposals will not be considered unless received by 2:00 P.M. PST on February 26, 2020 and fully completed in the manner provided by the “Instructions to Proposers”.
